Percy Jackson
Percy discovered he was a demi-god in the sixth grade, when a monster decided to run after him and his mom. After being placed at Camp Half-Blood, he took a chance to find out who he really is, Perseus Jackson, the Son of Poseidon.
Percy is a brave, caring, determined demi-god who would do anything to protect what he loves. " "I want to do something! I can't just let the borders fail." " (Riordan 52). After his first quest to return Zeus's lightning bolt, Percy has realized he can't and won't let anything happen to Camp Half-Blood. Once he found out that the magical borders have been poisoned, he remains restless to go save the camp and retrieve the only cure. This stands another reason about his character; Percy is caring. "Clarisse slumped down on the pavement..."We're hundreds of miles away. No money. No ride...It's your fault, Jackson! If you hadn't interfered-" I had almost forgotten this quest was supposed to be Clarisse's. For a scary moment, I saw things from her point of view. How would I feel if a bunch of other heroes had butted in and made me look bad?
..."It's your quest," I said..." (Riordan 233-235). Percy could have easily taken the credit for everything and simply forgotten about what the Oracle told Clarisse, but he put himself in someone else's shoes. He realized he wouldn't be doing the right thing by showing everyone that he saved the camp instead of Clarisse. Percy proved himself well enough by just being thoughtful.

Annabeth
Annabeth, the daughter of Athena. Annabeth is a smart, strong, and creative girl who accompanied Percy on his last quest. Considering she is the daughter of Athena, she ought to be intelligent. "I wished Annabeth was here. She would know what to make of my dream. I'd never admit it to her, but she was smarter than me,..."We could use your intelligence, Annabeth" " (Riordan 12 and 127). Everyone knows Annabeth is a wise girl, and they like that about her. Luke, the enemy, wants Annabeth to join him in his evil plans because he knows they could use a brain like that, and Percy is too embarrassed to admit that she is smarter than he is. " "We can't beat him with force, so we'll have to use trickery."... She gave me one of those sly looks..." (Riordan 210). To help save Grover and retrieve the Fleece, Annabeth thought of a brilliant plan to get passed the Cyclops, even if it meant her potential harm. Had it not been for her, Percy probably would not have made it through half the trip.
Tyson
Tyson, the Son of Poseidon. He is yes indeed Percy's younger brother, although not a demi-god, but a Cyclops. Tyson is a tall, strong, one-eyed, loving brother. "He was six-foot-three...His face was kind of misshapen and brutal looking..." (Riordan 9). Many people considered Tyson a freak, and in the beginning Percy wasn't that open to him either. "I admit-I was angry at my dad. I felt like being his son was now a joke." (Riordan 67). At first when everyone made fun of him, Percy felt embarrassed, but soon he learnt that Tyson is loving person. "I couldn't help admiring the work Tyson had done on the Athena chariot...He handed me a wristwatch...I realized that this is what I'd seen him tinkering on all summer...A tear welled in his eye.
"...Met you. Biggest blessing ever."...Tyson had come through." (Riordan 262-264 and 267). Even after everything that had happened, Tyson still cared for Percy more than anything in the world. He loved that he had him as someone in his life, and did anything to help him. Not to mention Tyson gave his life more than once to save Percy and many others. "Another fireball came streaking towards me. Tyson pushed me out of the way...Both balls slammed into him... A zombie sailor burst out of the hold and ran to Clarisse...
"Boiler room overheating, ma'am!..."
"No!" Tyson bellowed. "I can fix it."... The engine room blew, sending chunks of ironclad flying either direction like a fiery set of wings." (Riordan 18-19, 159 and 163). Tyson many a times risked everything to protect Percy, whether it brought life or death. He isn't a mean guy, but in fact just the opposite. Many people misunderstood him in the beginning, but soon they realized that he is way sweeter than people give him credit for.
